This is my first time making a header image and I realize it's pretty stupid of me considering I can't even use one. It's also pretty stupid considering I know nothing of adding them to a journal. Does anyone have any quick notes on how to add one to a journal or a link to an explanation so I can link it here? (Should I have some html code attached to this or something?) Thanks to anyone who can offer any help.

oh wow, fabulous header! That's just so fantastic...lex is so very cute...
dammit, i really need a good header of my own...mine is so amaterusih it hurts. You wouldn't by any teeny weeny chance take requests would ya? (Don't feel bad about saying no, believe me, it's happened before.)

I only know how to get headers into the 3-columns layout, I'm afraid, as that is the only one that actually allows you to do it. Wish I could be more help.

I'd be happy to make a header for you but two things 1) I'm away from the computer that has all my brushes and stuff so it'll be a few days and 2) this is my first time making a header and I'm surprised it turned out like this, so, don't hope for too much ^^; What would you like the header to look like (subject, colors, style, etc.)?

Actually your layout is pretty much what I'm looking for, any links to tutorials that set it up that way?

well, not so much a tutorial, per se, but i think i can pretty much tell ya how to get it.

Ok...lemme just phsyche myself up...this has to happen if ever i want to be coherent...*hums annoyingly*

Ok, ready:
1. Click on "My Lj" and then go to "Customize"

2. Go to the bottom of "Basics" and make sure the Style System is switched to S2 and not S1

3. Go to "Look and Feel"

4. Under "Layout and Language", there is a little block with one of those down button thingies, just click on that and the menu will open up. "3 column" is the first option.

5. After you've got it you can go down the page to pick colour themes or whatever but make sure to click save.

6. If you want a header image you just go to "Custom Options" and you can deal with everything there - colours, images, text for links on your journal. It's all very easy to navigate.

Ok, here goes nothing:
I'd really like the best section of my favourite poem somewhere around, maybe in the same font as you have "apres moi" written because it's beautiful. The poem is "Ulysses" by Alfred Lord Tennyson and these are the words:

"Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.

Ok, this may be far too many words and you're more than welcome to cut down on them if you wish.

Colour-wise i was hoping something fairly dark - i.e. dark blues, blacks, v dark reds e.t.c....

Ok..hmm...pictures is harder...right...i actually may have to get back to you on that. Or maybe you can help me?

See, I'm not sure whether to go for just a scenery mood piece or to choose from the vast store of guys I am in love with (Jack Davenport, Robrt Pattinson, Paul Bettany, David Tennant, to name but a few...)...in either case, i never seem to be able to find nice pictures...unless you could make them look nicer..

Hmm, ok, i'll leave it like that for now and rely on your good judgement to give me some ideas on pictures. Work for you?
