So, this is a Barney/Ted fic that I...kind of wrote during class. Hehe, yeah. It was such a short idea I figured I'd just jot it down there and I typed it up when I got home. Finally posting it now.

Title: Don't Think
Fandom: How I Met Your Mother
Pairing: Barney/Ted
Rating: PG-13 (at the very most)
Disclaimer: Don't own.
Spoilers: Too short for spoilers.


"Ted," Barney says, a warning in his voice as Ted tilts tipsily closer into Barney's personal space.

"What?" Ted says, laughing, eyes roaming Barney's face.

Ted's too close. Barney can feel his breath on his lips, can smell the beer and Ted's cologne, can feel the heat on his skin. Barney shudders and his eyes close briefly, when he opens them again Ted's staring at his mouth.

"Ted, you're not thinking." He stutters.

Ted's gaze flickers back up to meet Barney's eyes, still sparkling with mischief, "I know, I'm not thinking at all. Isn't that what you've always wanted?"

Barney doesn't stop him when Ted finally closes the space between their lips and against all better judgement he kisses back. And he feels - but can't stop - his hands curling around Ted's hips, pulling him closer and Ted threads his fingers through Barney's hair and moans and God, Barney should feel worse about this because Ted's drunk and not thinking but then again Barney's obviously not either.

X-D that was really rather adorable. Honestly, that whole last line was just wonderful and "Ted, you're not thinking" kind of mde me lol.
Oddly, it all seemed rather in character, especially from Ted's point of view. Love.
