I think that's what it is, he's a little too...perfect looking. Like, he's almost too pretty and obvious. Dekay is a bit more fascinating to look at, he's quirky.

I have just started watching this show and it is amazing and yes, Peter Burke is so adorable! I love how Elizabeth is very much aware of his crush on Neal :D The three of them have a lot of chemistry together. Finally, an OT3 that is all but explicitly stated in canon!

I was thinking of something you said while watching the show, too. They don't dumb Peter down so that Neal can be the superstar and it's so refreshing to see. Peter's position is very much deserved.
