The PICSPAMS continue.
soopheila wanted my favorite female tv characters.
I was thinking this might be a bit of a tricky one, because I'm sure it's come across before that I don't like female characters on the whole and the thing is...I don't. Not really. I'm just very specific about what kind of characters I like and I like my women strong, smart and preferably, snarky. Most female characters, well, they're simpering idiots who can't function without a man around. In the end it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I think that these women show the same kind of traits that I go for.

Georgia Lass - Dead Like Me
There are two fictional Georgias I relate to too much, Georgia Lass is one, Georgia Nicholson is the other. Not sure what that says about me, but either way, I love Georgia Lass. I think I love her because she's the exact opposite of Daisy, whom I hate. Georgia's snarky, snarly, pathetic in a symphathetic way (unlike Daisy, who I think is pathetic in an annoying way), but kind of lost and capable of being really sweet.

Dr. Mrs. The Monarch - The Venture Brothers
First let me say how impossible it is to find a picture of her that isn't fanart or cosplay, the image above is actually fanart. I pretty much love everyone on The Venture Brothers to death, but I think she's my favorite female. It makes sense that she's pretty much the only sane person in the whole show and the only time she isn't is when she's voluntarily going along with the Monarch.

Lisa Simpson - The Simpsons
Lisa's a lot like Dr. Mrs. The Monarch, she's easily the most sane person around. I also love that she's smart, but still a kid so there's a lot of sweet moments and moments of vulnerablity from her. But in the end she still shows how strong she is, for her age and her *ahem* gender.

Fran - Black Books
There's only one female who can handle the likes of Bernard and Manny, and Fran can definitely hold her own. She can pretend to be normal, but she's just as crazy and that's why I love her.

Annie Cartwright - Life on Mars UK
This is how it's done. This is how you do sweet yet smart at the same time, without losing any dignity in between.

Catwoman - Batman
DO NOT start with the Harley Quinn shit, please people. Catwoman's a villian in her own right and perfectly capable of grappling with Batman, and even getting away with it sometimes. And, if you can believe, I am a staunch believer that Catwoman is the only one Batman can end up with, because she's not some simpering chick who needs him to save her, she's a complete badass. And I'm a total sucker for her internal battle about which side she's on.

Cybil Sheridan - Cybil
I love that despite the fact that she has two ex-husbands, she's still an independent smart woman who doesn't fall head over heels for every guy she comes across. And she's a smartass, which is really endearing to me.

Annie Edison - Community
Annie may seem kind of like one of those whiny female characters, but I disagree. If anything, she's just neurotic, which makes her quirky and loveable. And I do like how they're doing the Troy/Annie romance, becuase it's not overbearing and it doesn't define Annie's character to the point where they can even add some (very amusing, very well done) sexual tension with Jeff. Either way, I think she's a total dweeby sweetheart.

The Cast of Glee - Glee
I couldn't decide who I liked the most, because they're all so well done and well rounded characters. Well acted, well written the whole lot of them. I can see why so many people don't like Rachel, but I think the fact that she has so many flaws yet can be sweet or persistant makes her likeable. I think that also applies to pretty everyone on the cast, they all have flaws but make up for them.

Door - Neverwhere
I count Door because the miniseries was on TV. I love Door both in the book and the series, I'm sure if I can say why, because we know her for a very short time. Or without saying the same things I have been saying: smart, strong, etc. Haha. I will say how she knows pretty much everything that's going on, guiding Richard while he kind of just bumbles along, so she's streetsmart and wise and the one in control despite the fact that the story's essentially about Richard. Also, please look at her in that picture. Pretty right? This is how they depict her in the comic book. Ugh...

Pamela Beasley - The Office US
I wasn't sure if I was going to include Pam, then I thought about the fact that she'd probably be pretty open to a Jim/Ryan threesome. Bahaha, I am an idiot. Either way, I don't think I need to say anything about Pam, she's sweet and adorable and loves inside jokes and pranks.

Jerri Blank
Another one I wasn't sure whether I was going to include Jerri either, then I thought about how this is exactly my type of humor, where you think it can't get any worse, but then it does. Jerri the epitomy of that kind of humor. Her staunch refusal to learn any lessons makes me laugh.

Love all the characters I recognise and thank you for using a Catwoman image from the animated Batman series. That was an incredible show. (I can only handle Harley Quinn in that show because of her obvious chemistry with Poison Ivy, who was insanely awesome.)
And extra love for Lisa Simpson! ♥

I love the animated Batman series, I have volume 1 on DVD, I've been meaning to get the rest. I don't hate Harley Quinn, I just don't like the idea that the Joker has feelings toward anyone, though honestly it usually doesn't play out that way, I'm just an idiot :P
Aww, Lisa's always been a favorite of mine ♥
