Episode-y things

I have to say, while I was actually watching it, I enjoyed this week's House (until, of course, the end. But we'll get to that). But looking back on it, I have no clue what actually happened. There was so much just thrown into the mix and I know how some plot lines ended but I don't know why and then it felt forced. Like that thing with Chase and Cameron. Why bring it up now and not after the wedding or before the proposal? It would be skeevy of Cameron to do after, but at least she would have proven that she wanted to get married. So, are they waiting until Cameron gets her head screwed on right or until Chase mans up and stops being all whiney (I swear, what is it with the guy being the whiny, lovey-dovey one all the time)?
Also, I have no idea how they cured the ballerina. I was actually kind of interested in her but they obviously weren't because she got pushed so far in the background. I did like that the cottages had to save her without House's help in the end, it finally shows that they are capable of solving a case without him, and they're, ya know, growing.
Oh course my biggest problem was the House plot. I did like where it was going, with House crossing off reasons for the hallucinations (I kind of wished they hadn't played up the schizophrenic idea because we already have that plot waiting for us in Wilson' brother). I like the idea of House with hallucinations, I honestly thought that's where they were going with the show after No Reason in season 2. And him needing Wilson's help. But then all of a sudden Wilson wasn't good enough? Or something? Because he disappeared and House had to go to Cuddy. But I don't understand why Cuddy needed to be there. She's proven time and time again that she's the worst doctor in the hospital, and House knows that, so why would he choose her? It really felt forced and contrived just to get Cuddy close enough so they could fuck. Maybe if he had gone to Cuddy earlier in the episode and hadn't just been there in the end and Wilson hadn't been able to help or something. As it was, it was really obviously a set up. Also "You want to kiss me right now" and "I always want to kiss you" is one the worst examples of romantic dialogue I've ever seen. How did that get past...anyone? Much less into the promo?
And the thing is, if they had used "Hilson" in a promo, I'd still be pissed off, it's not just that it's Huddy. There's a line between hinting to your fans, and pandering. House has always been really good at toeing the line while still keeping the show true to its nature. This was just blatent pandering to a fanbase. Also, I just don't like the whole romantic thing between House and Cuddy anyway. I just saw a part of an episode on tv the other day, the one where Wilson takes Cuddy to a museum and House is telling Cuddy to sleep with Wilson so they won't get together. And Cuddy doesn't assume that House is jealous of Wilson and just wants to get in her pants, she assumes she's jealous of her for trying to steal Wilson away. And that's what he was upset about! Because back then Cuddy wasn't a love struck bimbo whose only thoughts and feelings were somehow connected to House, she understood House. Lately she can't fucking stand up on her own without House around. And House wasn't a pathetic lovesick puppy. "I always want to kiss you" my ass. I'm sure there's a way that this could have been done better, I wouldn't have liked it anymore than I do now, I know that, but at least it wouldn't be sacrificing the characters' personalities.
The only reason I'm really hoping that Stella isn't the mother is because I seriously dislike Sarah Chalke. Okay, that's not fair, but I definitely haven't liked any character she's ever played. Elliot is the most annoying character ever. She's so fucking stupid and pathetic and she has like no esteem. She really just exists to make the other characters look smarter, unless they're feeling sorry for her. Which I seriously have a problem with, I hate female characters who only inspire pathetic sympathy in others. I like Carla because she's strong but her problems are realistic to her character, and she can handle it and she can do it without looking like a wimp. Elliot is incapable. Same with Becky on Roseanne, who has no problem working at Hooters because she gets paid and doesn't have to go to school and get a degree.
Also, this might just be because I haven't seen the whole show, but I really don't get the Barney/Robin thing. Why do either of them need to be paired up at all? It's just TV standard that the remaining male and female in a group of characters have to hook up, regardless of chemistry. And besides Barney being lovesick over her, I don't see where they connect, or even why Barney's head over heels for her.

And Cameron keeping her dead husband's sperm?! That conversation came out of nowhere. He's asking her if she wants some wine and she begins talking about sperm. Also would the sperms still be good? I mean is there a time limit on how long it can stay frozen before it just isn't good anymore?
I loved that Wilson was there for House. House and Wilson belong together.

The House and Wilson scenes were easily the best, it really showed Wilson will be there for House. And while I agree with what some people are saying for why Wilson couldn't be there with House for the detox (he's an enabler, etc) I think that ultimately, Wilson will be best person for House.
