It's a Pirates fic and it's something I've been wanting to write since after At World's End. It's a lot shorter than I intended however, but I just sat down last night and banged it out. I don't even know why, I haven't written (good, publishable) fic since Brokeback Mountain in 2006. And before then it was Smallville in 2004 (and before then we don't talk about).
I'm kind of freaking out because it's been so long since I put a fic up in comm or showed it to anyone and rereading it makes me see it doesn't make too much sense and it's not perfect, but it's not bad and I know that for a fact I won't be able to go back to it and change anything (when it comes to fic; I can sort of do it with other stuff). Fanfic's much harder than original fiction to share. (And I'm only saying all this now because I can't put it in the author's notes and scare everyone off.) Also it doesn't have a title and I'm no good at them.
I figure I'll probably post it anyway, but I'm wondering if anyone wants to beta read it?
