An idea I've had for years and harbouring and working on and falling in love with over and over again has just been destroyed. It wasn't anything important, or feasible, or possible, or possibly even that good, but it was something I adored and I'm really sad about it now.

What exactly was the idea/movie that they are now making which is so similar, if you don't mind my asking? I can totally understand how completely awful it is to find a great idea you've had for ages popping up somewhere else - it's always a fear with everything I write or think up and I can't even explain why exactly. I hope you don't give up on it entirely though :-(
