It's a steady downpour outside, and everyone's trying to walk down the 3 and a half feet of sidewalk the construction has left us, all with umbrellas. When we pass, one goes up, one goes down, some look straight ahead and pretend none of this has any effect on them, some smile at the mutual awkwardness. It's a game I call Dodge Umbrellas.
